Pi Datacentre Pvt Ltd launches Data Centre at Mangalagiri

kalyanPi Datacentres Private Limited  announced the launch of its state-of-the-art datacentre at Mangalagiri on the city outskirts to serve enterprise businesses across the country and abroad with co-location and cloud service offerings.

The datacentre would be a Greenfield facility built in more than five lakh square feet area and would provide direct employment to 300 people and indirect employment to over 2,000 people. Being set up with an estimated Rs. 600 crore, it would be South India’s first tier-4 certified datacentre.

The State Government has sanctioned 10-acre land and assured to establish an exclusive sub station for dedicated power supply, four-lane road access and other facilities, said Pi Datacentres Private Limited Founder and Chief Executive Officer Kalyan Muppaneni.

Mr. Muppaneni, a native of Vijayawada, claimed that investors were from United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Taiwan and other countries and said that the company would go for public issue by 2018 end.

On finalising Vijayawada and its suburbs, he said that most datacentres were established in cramped spaces in cities like Mumbai, Bangalore. Vijayawada was geographically well connected with Chennai, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam and offers lot of space and the company would be hiring local talent, he added.
