Tollywood hero, Akkineni Nagarjuna arrived as the guest at the inaugural International Conference of Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON-2015) in Hyderabad. Nagarjuna addressed in this event by narrating his family experiences about palliative care treatment.
He revealed , my mother experienced a lot of pain for seven years on the account of various health complications.We are unaware about Palliative therapy that time. Fortunately, in the final stages of my father’s life,doctors practising palliative care here. This treatment helped my father, my father was smiling when he died.
Nagarjuna said that terminally ill patients should not be allowed to die in pain and their families should never undergo the trauma of looking-on helplessly.People should get awareness about this pain relief Palliative therapy.
