A day after it was reported that Indrani Mukherjea’s first husband Siddartha Das has been traced in Kolkata, a media report claimed that he might have fled to Bangladesh. According to a report in the Quint, Siddartha Das may have left India 12 days ago.
After the Mumbai Police traced Siddartha Das, a team was likely to leave for Kolkata to question him, sources said.
Earlier, Indrani’s former brother-in-law Shantanu Das had claimed that Sheena Bora was his brother Siddartha’s daughter. He said, “Sheena is my brother Siddartha Das’ daughter with Indrani Mukherjea. Yes, I met Sheena and Indrani around 1989 when Sheena was 6 months old. I have not met Mikhail.
“My family lost touch with my brother Siddartha in the last 8-10 years. My mother is unwell and has not taken well to the news,” Shantanu added.
