City Police Commissioner MN Reddi said the bomb blast took place at 8.30 pm near Coconut Grove restaurant, Church Street is among the busiest places in Bengaluru on weekends.
One woman named Bhavani, 38 years old from Chennai was killed and one man, relative of bhavani was seriously injured as the bomb intensity was less and it was manufactured with ammoniumhydride. The reason for explosion is unknown.
A special investigation team has been formed to investigate the case. The entire city has put on high alert for a while.
