Telugu Desam Party district president Silpa Chakrapani Reddy was elected Kurnool MLC in a bye-election to the Local Authority constituency defeating YSRC nominee D. Venkateswara Reddy on Tuesday.
Joint Collector and Returning Officer C. Harikiran declared Mr. Chakrapani Reddy elected with a margin of 146 votes on completion of counting of votes in Town Model School here.
He handed over declaration certificate to Mr. Chakrapani Reddy’s son Silpa Ravi Reddy.
