Nepal Earth Quake: Architecture in Nepal before and after the quake

A natural disaster brings into sharp relief the other side of the beautiful planet that we treasure. Earth can be as cruel as she is beautiful and we saw that in front of our very eyes on 25th April, when Nepal was hit by an earthquake of magnitude 7.9 in the Richter scale.

Loss of life, destruction of property, and trauma are words not equipped to describe what happened. Death toll has gone above 2000 and over thousands of people have been injured and a beautiful nation lies covered in dust and rubble, that are but what remains of once glorious works of architecture.

From the mighty Dharahara Tower, to the aesthetic Patan Durbar Square; minutes of earth’s fury changed the face of a country.
