Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu yesterday invited China Harbour Engineering Company, a major infrastructure construction player, to explore the possibility of creating a Chinese industrial park which would have all Chinese firms under one roof.
Company’s Chairman Mo Wenhe said the firm is keen on replicating its China experience in Andhra Pradesh, in infrastructure development.
“We are aware of AP’s advantages of long coastline, natural and mineral resources,” he was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office here.
Naidu, on the third day of his visit to China, lauded the country’s rapid growth in the last 40 years, and asked the company to look at establishing such an industrial park.
The Chief Minister invited the company to set up shop in state’s capital Amaravathi.
On the invitation of the Communist Party of China, Naidu met Minister for International Department Central Committee of Communist Party of China ( IDCPC) Wang Jiarui in Beijing today, the statement added.
