The Gujarath Coast Guard chased the boat which is suspicious from Pakistan, and he fired warning shots and stopped it, but 4 people aboard the boat set it on fire, blowing it up.
According to sources, the Defence Ministry, said that the Indian Coast Guard intercepted a suspicious Pakistan fishing vessel, 365 km off Porbander in Gujarat and the event took place on New Year’s Eve. The midnight operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence reports and conducted on the night of December 31.
The Coast Guard ship warned the fishing boat to stop but the boat increased the speed and tried to escape .The continued for nearly one hour.Due to darkness, bad weather and strong winds, the boat and persons on board could not be saved or recovered. The boat burnt and sank in the same position, in early hours of January 1.
