Tata group chairman Ratan Tata promised to support the development of villages in Vijayawada loksabha constituency. Ratan assured local MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) to help taking micro-level planning of about 234 villages before backing the actual developmental programmes.
Ratan made the promise when MP made a courtesy call at his residence on Wednesday. MP submitted a representation to Ratan seeking his cooperation in development of villages in Tiruvuru, Nandigama, Jaggaiahpet and Mailavaram assembly constituencies of his loksabha constituency.
He explained that residuary state of AP was struggling to overcome financial crisis post bifurcation and villages were the worst hit by the State division. MP requested Ratan to help them initiate at least a few developmental programmes in the rural areas of his constituency as there were no funds with the State government to take up the planned programmes.
