Crops damaged due to Gas leakage on Sunday in the Chinapandraka village ,Kruttivennu mandal ,Krishna district. This mishap took place when drilling operations were being carried out by the ONGC.
With reference to the reports, the leakage of gas started at 3 pm. Then after a few hours, experts reached from Rajamundry and halted the leakage. But, the surrounding paddy fields were damaged due to the gas leakage.
The formers got afraid about their health and crop life in the village and the villagers conducted a protest at the drilling site asking the ONGC to stop their operations. Machilipatanam RDO Saibabu invigilated the drilling site and interacted with villagers. He assured to take mandatory precautions to avoid this type of incidents in the future.
