The Bajrang Dal and some Hindu groups from Ahmedabad went violent to ban PK and demanding to boycott Aamirkhan socially because the movie, ‘PK’, insults Hindu gods.
In Bhopal also some Protests objected the film and some screenings were halted.Another reason for their displeasing is that the movie shows an Indian girl in love with a Pakistani boy and this was construed by the right wing activists as promoting ‘love jihad’.
On the other hand , PK was released on December 19, got superb response at the Box Office, collecting more than Rs 200 crore in the first week of its release.
