Saina Nehwal plans to retire soon?

s2The Hyderabadi shuttler, who cracked a bronze medal at London Olympics, is in plans to retire soon.

The 26-year old Saina Nehwa lhas been in the game ever since she’s a school kid, becoming the youngest player (16) from Asia to win a 4-star tournament. In 2012, she went on to achieve bronze medal at Olympics and won many accolades from the nation.

Speaking to ESPN on Wednesday, Saina Nehwal  said, “It is okay, many people will think my career will end and I won’t come back. I also think somewhere deep in my heart that maybe it is the end of my career, so let’s see how it is.” Doesn’t this statement kind of hint what she’s running through – a retirement soon?

However, it is likely that this kind of attitude – before the start of a series- is good for the game. Following her knee injury during Rio Olympics, she’s making a come back with China Open Super Series from 15th November.

She is quite focused on fitness and doesn’t seem to be ready to take any sort of criticism over form and career.
