India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday congratulated the Indian cricket team for victory over South Africa in World Cup match.
President Mukherjee soon after the Indian team victory over South Africa tweeted as “Congratulations on your second victory in ICC World Cup 2015; the first ever win against S.Africa in World Cup matches”.
“Great performance. Well played. Congrats Team India. You make us proud yet again,” PM Narendra Modi tweeted .
India defeated South Africa by 130 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to break their World Cup jinx of never winning against the Proteas in the mega-event.
