Infosys founder Narayana Murthy visits Mantralayam

Infosys founder Narayana MurthyInfosys founder Narayana Murthy on Wednesday offered prayers at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matham at Mantralayam on Wednesday. Sporting silk ‘dhoti and uttareeyam’, Mr. Narayana Murthy went in a queue line along with common devotees and offered prayers at the Moola Brindavan of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, saint who was the proponent of Dwaitha, the Madhva philosophy.

Mr. Narayana Murthy reached Yemmiganur by helicopter from Bengaluru and from there proceeded to Mantralayam by car. He offered prayers in the temple of Sri Manchalamma, village goddess and then went to Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matham, in tune with an age-old practice. Later he took blessings of the Mathadhipathi Sri Subhudendra Theertha.

He was received with temple honours by Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matham manager Srinivasa Rao and assistant manager Vishnava Murthy.
