MeeSeva Apps to be available on mobile phones

meeseva appMeeSeva applications will be accessible on mobile phones in five years’ time, according to Minister for Information Technology K.T. Rama Rao. Speaking at a meet on Smart City held here on Monday, Mr. Rama Rao said that all the 316 applications that provide access to various Government welfare initiatives would be available as mobile applications.

The attempt is aimed at making technology accessible to people from across socio-economic denominations, the Minister said at the launch of ‘Smart Solutions for Smart Societies (4S), a collaborative project of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI).

As part of the 4S meet, industry, academic and Government experts will conduct a series of conferences spread across a year to come up with smart city solutions that better several aspects of life in Telangana cities.

Solutions in the fields of building, energy, health, transport, environment, governance and ICT that the experts come up in the conference series will be applied after due Government approval in cities including Hyderabad, Khamman, Karimnagar, Adilabad and Nalgonda.

Speaking at the meet, the Minister asked industry think tanks to come up with customised solutions that are suitable for Telangana. The meet was organised in the context of Union Government’s decision to fund the making of 100 smart cities in the coming five years.
