Andhra Pradesh government to launch 4 biotech incubation centres

incubAndhra Pradesh government is now planning to set up incubators to provide a fillip to the life sciences and biotech sectors.

The government, in its biotechnology policy, has planned four incubation centres at Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Tirupati and Vijayawada over the next three years to support students and young entrepreneurs.

While the incubator in Visakhapatnam district is expected to come up under a Mega Life Sciences Park, which is planned in around 200 acres under the PPP model, the remaining three incubators are to be set up at JNTU in Kakinada, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University in Tirupati and Dr NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada.
