The motion poster of Telugu film Rudramadevi is out. It discloses Anushka Shetty’s character in he film.Anushka Shetty essays the role of a warrior queen of Kakatiya dynasty called Rudrama Devi who ruled most of the parts of modern day Telangana and Andhra Pradesh between 1259 and 1289 AD.
As we all know, Rudramadevi is an upcoming first Indian 3D historic film, simultaneously being produced in Telugu and Tamil languages. The film is directed by Gunasekhar, and it has casting like Anushka Shetty, Krishnam Raju, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menon, Baba Sehgal, Catherine Tresa and many more. Anushka will be seen as Rudrama Devi, the 13th century revered Telugu queen of the Kakatiya dynasty.The film’s soundtrack and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja and the art direction is handled by Thotta Tharani. Neeta Lulla is designing the costumes.
Inaddition to this ,as per motion poster,Allu Arjunn is also playing key role in the movie.It is pretty much evident that Anushka Shetty’s character wears an anga vastram, the classical Indian style that was the order of the day much before sari became India’s de facto national dress. In keeping with her royal look, Rudramadevi is well dressed with huge gold ornaments. The fabric looks more synthetic than normal usage.e like it in 13th century India when Rudrama Devi ruled.
