In a movie Nag plays a dual role like father and son.In that movie Swathi offered to pair-up with the younger Nag.As per the sources the filmmakers met Swathi and narrated the role and she liked it. Eventhough Swathi would not able to do the film as the dates which are demanded by filmmakers are just overlapping with those of her Malayalam and Tamil films.
The role finally went to popular TV star Anasuya Bharadwaj.It seems like Swathi’s loss turned out to be Anasuya’s gain.
