Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand told in a press conference that Public can join to the Cyberabad WhatsApp group (no. 949061744) and anyperson can lodge complaints, report any crime or give feedback.
The commissioner further added, People using smart-phone with internet connectivity can use the service and send any messages, video or audio clips, images or any other information. All Cyberabad police officials of the rank of Sub-Inspector and above will be available in WhatsApp team. It is further divided into 10 groups based on five zones of Cyberabad and other units. If an offence like chain snatching is reported in one police station area and reported in WhatsApp, it would be automatically informed to all other members of the group for quick action.
