A team of 12 medical personnel including four doctors headed by Kakatiya Medical College Forensic Department head Raju is carrying out post-mortem on Vikaruddin and four others killed in an encounter in Nalgonda Distrct on Tuesday. The procedure is expected to be over by 3 p.m., sources said.
Post-mortem is being carried out as per the NHRC guidelines by videographing the entire procedure. Warangal Range Deputy Inspector General B. Malla Reddy and Superintendent of Police A.K. Jha were sitting at the mortuary supervising the process.
Mediapersons were not allowed inside the hospital. Sources say relatives of some deceased arrived in town, but were kept away from the media to avoid any untoward incident and attention until the post-mortem was completed.
