The AP”s government criticized Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s promise to farmers to return their lands taken for building the new capital as “irrelevant and irresponsible”.
Ruling out the possibilities of negative talk being generated among investors, particularly from Singapore and Japan, AP government’s communications advisor Parakala Prabhakar said on Wednesday, “Jagan’s comments are irrelevant as only 800 acres of land is yet to be pooled. The task is completed successfully with more than 98 per cent of around 34,000 acres already pooled.”
