KCR encourages encounters : Varavara Rao

varavara raoRevolutionary writer Varavara Rao alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao is trying to suppress people’s movement by encouraging encounters.

Speaking to reporters after praying tributes to Vivek Kodamagundla, alias Raghu, 19, at his residence in Bhagat Singh Nagar in Suryapet town here on Sunday, he termed the encounter as “murder”.

“The Telangana Chief Minister is ruling very cleverly than his predecessors who ruled undivided Andhra Pradesh in suppressing the movement,” he said.

What is the meaning of killing three innocent youngsters even after nabbing them? he questioned. “The police should have handed over the youth to their parents instead,” he observed.

Talking about the raise of Vivek, Mr. Rao said he rose to become dalam commander within nine months after he joined the movement.

The tribal people of Chhattisgarh will remember him forever for his sincere work for the cause, he said. Founder of Association of Maoist Martyr’s Parents, Radha Kumari, senior journalist Ramana, Prof. Khasim and others paid tributes and demanded a probe into the killing of innocent people.
