Section-8 of AP Reorganisation Act accepted by TRS during bifurcation:Ashok Gajapathi Raju

Ashok Gajapathi RajuUnion Minister of Civil Aviation P.Ashok Gajapathi Raju said special status issue was not included in the AP Reorganization Act and it might not come for discussion in the ensuing general elections.

Speaking to media persons the Union Minister said Section-8 of AP Reorganisation Act should be implemented in Hyderabad since TRS had also accepted other clauses during the bifurcation of the State.

Reacting over the construction of international airport in Bhogapuram, the Minister said that consensus was needed for acquisition of land for the project while indicating the farmer’s interests would be protected.

He inaugurated new integrated cyclone shelters at Komaravanipeta and Kottamukkam villages.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said the State government was able to get 42 percent share as against 32 percent in Central funds with the initiatives of the Modi government.

Tirupati Staff Reporter adds: Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana has announced that the State government will continue its fight for effective implementation of the Section 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
