India’s Star Badminton player Saina Nehwal is totally disappointed with tha Union sports .Eventhough ,she had good performance last year they even not mentioned her namefor the 2015 Padma awards.
According to her:”i won 3 titles in 2014.The Indian Open, Aus Open Super Series .Inaddition to this,I have won 2 bronze medals Uber and Asian Game Team Events”. Are these achievements are not enough to nominate me?
There was a competition between Saina and Wrestler Sushil to chose any one by Ministry. Sushil won bronze &Silver at the Beijing 2008 ,London Olympics respectively but he had only one Gold Medal at Glasgow common Wealth games in 2014.On the contrary.he is not eliginle for this award till next year as per the rule that the gap of 5 years for 2 awards he has chosen for the award by the ministry.
Further more , 2 years back the same 5 years rule applied for Saina .so why not for Sushil this time? Why the Ministry relaxing for him? Is there any partiality or gender bias?
