Samsung unveils world’s first wireless mobile charging monitor

samsaungSamsung has developed a new screen that offers wireless charging for your smartphones.

The full-HD monitors are available in 24-inch (S24E370DL) and 27-inch (S27E370DS) displays and feature AMD’s anti-flicker gaming tech and 178-degree viewing angles.

The monitors consolidate the multiple charging ports found in other displays with a circular wireless charging area integrated in the monitor’s stand. All that you need to do is place your device on the stand’s charging area to initiate charging. These monitors promise functionality in office spaces if users have a wirelessly charging phone.

Only those devices which have wireless charging capability can be used with the new monitor.

Samsung hasn’t revealed the price or launch details of the new monitors. However, a report on Engadget notes that the innovative displays are expected to be launched at Europe’s biggest electronics show, IFA, scheduled in September.

The new monitor is further compatible with the upcoming Windows 10 platform.
