2.32 lakh candidates to appear for TS EAMCET

eamsetA total of 2.32 lakh students will appear for the maiden EAMCET exam to be conducted by the Telangana government at 423 centres across the State on Thursday.

About 1,39,636 candidates are taking the test in engineering stream and 92,362 in agriculture and medical streams, according to a report of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad, which has been assigned the task of conducting EAMCET – 2015.

The engineering test will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the agriculture/medicine from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The question paper for both the tests will consist of 160 questions with answers in multiple choices. The preliminary key will be declared on May 16, while the last date for receiving objections to the key will be May 23. The ranks will be declared on May 28.

As many as 251 out of the 423 centres in the State are for engineering and the remaining 172 for agriculture/medicine. There are 111 centres for engineering and 78 for agriculture/medicine in the eight zones of Hyderabad. About 1.13 lakh students in both streams will appear for the exam in Hyderabad.
